Chester Express Shuttle & Taxi is Richmond's South side best taxi service operating in South side Richmond and Chesterfield County. We concentrate our cab services to Chester and Midlothian and all surrounding areas. We offer transportation to and from the airport, train or bus as well as residential and business pick ups. We have new cars as well as new drivers and are very excited to be able to accept all major credit cards and most reservations. We are one of only a few taxi companies in the area that meets accreditation from the Better Business Bureau with an "A+" rating!

How long have you been in business?
Chester Express Shuttle was started in July 2009, however the owner has been in the business for more than 29 years.
What is your primary product or service?
We offer local passenger transportation in the Chester, Midlothian and Chesterfield County. We also provide long distance transportation and courier delivery services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I saw the need for a service that was reasonable in price and easy to obtain a short ride in a short amount of time. Most hotels in Chester have no shuttle vans to take their guests over to a restaurant or perhaps to pick up a rental car near by. Taxis can sometimes be hard to get because they are often too far away and not willing to drive to Chester for a short trip. Owning a taxi company, I understand that drivers pay for their own gas and the correct fare would not be enough to pay for their gas and time to provide good service. Taxi rates are regulated and there have been some cases where other taxi companies have purposely over charged to the customer more than they were allowed to charge by local ordinance. There have been cases where taxi companies from other localities (Petersburg, Fort Lee and Hopewell) that are not licensed to do business in Chester and Chesterfield County have come and charged more than double the rate that was suppose to be charged for service in the area. While these companies can pick up and take passengers back to the areas that they serve; they can not transport passengers legally from Chester that do not travel to the jurisdiction they came from. In the event of an accident, an insurance company could use this as a way to deny a claim or coverage to a passenger. Chester Express Shuttle and Taxi has solved these problems with service by providing transportation service at a fair price both to the customer and to the driver that is safe, fast, reliable and fully insured. Our Company is a taxi service that does transportation in the Chester and near by surrounding area. Our prices are regulated by local laws. Trips outside of the regulated area can receive very good discounted rates for longer distances.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are one of a very few services available in Chester that can save our passengers money and time. Prices are set by local laws and service is quick as our driver stays in the area waiting for your call. We also provide local courier services (documents, court papers and more) and home prescription delivery for those who are unable or find it difficult to get to the pharmacy.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are a small company and know many of our regular customers like family. We have one base operation and may expand once we establish more clients and see the demand for service increasing.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash and ALL major credit cards including American Express and Discover. There is a $15 minimum for using a credit card.
Which areas do you service?
We serve all of Chester and all areas of Chesterfield County including Midlothian. We also go into Richmond and other areas as our customers may have need and request.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open 7 days a week. if we have requests, we can be available at most times, so please call us. Passengers can request any time needed, even outside normal hours, in advance and we will get the call handled by one of our drivers or network with another company who will.
