How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1991 in the Historic Downtown Richmond Arts District.
What is your primary product or service?
Vintage guitars and amplifiers. We buy, sell and trade used and new guitars, amplifiers, keyboards, drums and more. We teach lessons on all instruments. We also offer rehearsal spaces o bands on a monthly basis.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have played music since I was a child. Although a pianist, I have been buying vintage stringed instruments since I was a kid. All through college I helped supplement my income by buying and selling used musical instruments.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We feature an event space for rent (Metro Space Gallery), a recording studio, on-site repair shop, band rehearsal spaces and have been buying used gear since we began nearly twenty years ago.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one facility that has about 40,000 square feet of space to our disposal. We have our sites on an additional new location too.
